Since taking my first photography class at U.C. Berkeley in the 1980s, I've loved the feel of the camera in my hands and the thrill of capturing a moment in time. My instructor said learning to take photographs is like learning to play a musical instrument - it takes a lot of time and practice to become proficient. I've taken these words to heart as I practice my craft and discover new ways to "play" my Nikon E7500. This series of photographs attempts to capture the unique qualities of the California landscape and coast.
