Water Reflection Series

"In one drop of water are found all the secrets of all the oceans;

in one aspect of You are found all the aspects of existence." – Kahlil Gibran

This self-portrait photo series captures fleeting moments in time. In the above trio of photographs, depth perception is distorted as water drops ripple on the surface of a water-filled copper bowl. Layers of detail converge and diverge on the water's surface as the perception of reality is blurred in its own reflection.

Street Art: We Will Survive

The We Will Survive series of spray painted stencil art was born out of the desire for my architect husband and me to collaborate on a creative project that expressed our Covid experience and connected with others. A We Will Survive panel received a Merit Award in Sanchez Art Center's 62nd Annual Member Show in 2020.

Notan Series

The Japanese art form of Notan literally means "light dark harmony."
This ongoing wood block Notan series explores the basic design principles of contrast, balance, repetition, rhythm, and pattern.
